Michael Meissner - General Manager
Mick Meissner has been a part of the MPE team for six years. With a mechanical engineering background his fields of special competence include, maintenance management and process improvement techniques, maintenance planning with specific experience in computerised maintenance management systems, planning of maintenance strategies, reliability centred maintenance techniques and equipment performance analysis and contract management.

Mick is a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers Australia.
Garry McCarthy – Operations Manager, New South Wales
Garry McCarthy has been a part of the MPE team for six years. His current role sees him directly managing the Singleton workforce and providing management support to the MPE group.
With an electrical trade background Garry was employed in the open cut coal industry for 19 years in supervisory and management roles, with 15 of those years in dual electrical/mechanical supervisory/management positions.
"My vision for MPE is to expand our delivery of services into new markets which I believe is an important aspect of the generational change in company ownership."
Peter Banks – Business Development Manager
With 30 years of mining maintenance and project experience in hard rock and coal mining throughout Australia, Peter Banks joined MPE three years ago.
Peter’s area of expertise includes all areas of mine maintenance including planning, management and improvement, strategies, reliability centred maintenance, equipment performance analysis and project and contract management. In his current role Peter is also responsible for all areas of business development including marketing, promotion and the recent application to the Federal Government for acceptance into the Austrade program.

Ron Shuttlewood – Operations Manager, Queensland
Ron Shuttlewood joined MPE six years ago and was initially based in the Singleton office. With engineering qualifications Ron’s area of expertise is project management, equipment audits, design and drafting, maintenance systems and management support.
In 2002 Ron was involved in the establishment of MPE’s Queensland operations. Following this he spent one year working in the United Kingdom on the implementation of a MIMS Computer Maintenance Management System for the United Kingdom Passenger Rail Network.
On his return to Australia Ron was based in the Queensland office and was appointed to his current role in early 2007.

To grow the business and extend our service beyond the coal industry by establishing principles and protocols of asset management that will apply to and be accepted in all industry.
